Soccer champ

The sports group went to play soccer and frisbee at Memorial Park. I scored two goals! Hooray!

Swimming

I enjoy visiting the Pools. I like to relax in the water. This week I made a relaxing float with the noodles and chilled out. My friends though it was a great idea and copied me!

Day at the beach

I went to Mt Maunganui to check out the rock pool and walked along the board walk with a group of my mates. I found some awesome looking shells I liked the look of. This was one of my goals to explore the rock pool and sand dunes.

Bowling

I had a great time when I went bowling with my friends from Arohanui!

Outing

I went out with my mates on a nice walk in the sun and feed the ducks. It was good getting out in the fresh air.

Cooking

I enjoy doing my cooking sessions. Each week I learn something new about food. Look at this yummy meal I cooked myself. 

Talentquest Practice

Im singing Kenny Rogers’ song “She believes in me” in the talentquest! We all had a practice in music  - a few more practices  and I might even win!

Te Puna quarry

I enjoyed the morning out at Te Puna quarry with my mates. We had lunch out there it was a relaxing time and there was lots to look at.

Last week at work!

It's been a great last week at work. I'm looking forward to having Christmas holidays. We swapped secret Santa presents and I got this awesome Santa mug. See you all next year!

Dolphin seafari

I enjoyed going out on the boat and looking out for the Dolphins. There were lots of posters around the boat to read about the different types of Dolphins we saw common Dolphins. It was a great day out.

Honey bee fact board

I’ve been helping to make this fact board about honey bees. I’ve been doing research on the iPad and helped to colour in a picture of a honey bee. It’s looking good so far! Did you know there are 3 types of honey bee? The Queen, drones and the workers.

Little creatures

We found these little creatures at the centre. We decided to do some research about them in learning through discovery and learn a little bit about seedlings,plants and forestry in the garden too.

Learning through discovery

I enjoyed the day out going to a kiwi fruit orchard and learning about how the bees help with the fruit. We learnt a lot of facts about bees and are going to make a fact board. We had a yummy bbq for lunch. 

Volunteering

I enjoyed going to the foodbank to help out as a volunteer. I got to sort out the coffee sachets into bags. 

Swimming

Today for sports group my friends and I went to the Greerton swimming pools. We had lots of fun and played water volley ball against Kaka street school who were also there.

Singalong

We had a singalong in music - songs from the movie Dirty Dancing! I sang - "Hungry Eyes" and another song too. I'd like to watch the movie one day. 

Life skills fun

This week we enjoyed a great walk from the elms to Matapihi bridge with my friends. 

Orchid show

I enjoyed seeing lots of different orchids from all over the world at the orchid show. I went with my learning through discovery group. 

Road safety and buying lunch

We went to Greerton to practice our road safety, looking for cars when we crossed the road we walked down to Pizza Hut to buy my lunch. I choose a meat lovers it was yummy!

Ten pin bowling

I went ten pin bowling with some friends and I came second place! Yay! It was a lot of fun!
