I had lots to look at when I went for a visit at Tect helicopter. I looked at all the equipment they use in a rescue. Check me out!

Highland game practice

I had fun joining in the relays to practice for our Highland games. I liked aiming at the target practice !

Balloon volleyball

I had a fun time playing balloon volleyball with the sports group on a rainy Tuesday afternoon.

Katikati museum

I had so much going to Katikati museum. We churned our own butter and made some yummy scones to put it on. There was so much to see and we even got to dress up like they use to back in the day. Check me out!

Sapphire springs

I enjoyed going out to Sapphire springs and having a swim and lunch with my friends.

Musicals

I had a great time singing songs to famous musicals in music, sing and dance this week. We had songs from Mamma Mia, The Sound of Music, Les Miserables and the Jungle Book.

Tree-ty

Check out our hand art! We are going to use them to make a big piece of art - they will be leaves of a tree. We are working together in our advocate meetings to create a "Tree-ty" - an agreement between us all on how to treat each other and the centre. I helped look up meanings of the word Treaty on the iPad and told everyone. 

Fun and games

I like coming to Arohanui to see my friends and give them a challenge at uno.

Cooking

I enjoyed cooking corn fritters. I helped to mix the ingredients and cook them until they were golden brown.

Te Puna Quarry Park

I enjoyed a morning out at Te Puna Quarry Park with my new friends at Arohanui. We saw the big stone dragon and imagined flying in him. We explored the big metal digger too and imagined operating it.

Learning through discovery

In learning through discovery we're learning about beer which is super interesting!

Bingo time

Wii bowling

It was raining really on Monday so the guys group stayed back and played wifi games. I enjoyed the bowling and got a STRIKE!!!!!!! Yay! 

Jungle gym

The sports group went to Yatton Park to hav a go on the jungle gym. Balancing along the ropes was a bit tricky but the mini trampoline and other equipment was lots of fun! 

Hangi preparation

We have been busy collecting pallets, river stones and metal sleepers ready for our Hangi that we are having at the centre on May 3rd. Busy busy!!!!

Lifeskills

I got so much done in Lifeskills! We washed the vans until the were sparkling and shiney and we also got some recycling done at the recycle centre.

Swim-tastic

Enjoyed a lovely swim at Memorial Park, what fun!

Nzsl Bingo

We played a fun game of bingo in our communications session.  We signed the numbers instead of speaking them! I was pretty good at the game - BINGO!!!!!

Birthday surprise

Everyone surprised me at lunch and sung me happy birthday and gave me a cupcake to eat. It was yummy!

Guys group

I gave my friends a good challenge at pool this week. I'm getting better and better. I like hanging out with my friends
