Sports Group

I had a brilliant day with my friends in sports group. We went to the Greerton pools for a a swim in the morning and then in the afternoon we played indoor bowls and table tennis. 

Westenberg’s quiz morning

 I helped to read out my researched questions in the quiz morning. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and it was a successful quiz. I used a calaculator at the end of the rounds to see who the winner was!

Quiz Planning

 I sat down with Angie and Got together lots of questions for our Quiz Day that we are having this month. I helped with the  General Knowledge round questions and the music ones too.

Finding Games on Twinkl

 I checked out a cool place online called Twinkl. There were lots of different games and I chose some to download so that I can make my own games book to keep and use at Wilrose.  We also added our first game to the book - it is a “left/right” game that I helped write. We played a version of it on the morning and got Easter Eggs! 

Bananagrams

 I brought in the bananagrams game to play with my friends at Wilrose. We enjoyed a few games and then we spelled out our names with the tiles. 

Ten pin

 I had a great time with my friends playing Ten pin bowls. There was lots of cheering and laughs. 

Happy birthday to me!

It was my birthday on Sunday. I had a big weekend with lots of celebrations and when I got back to Arohanui we carried on celebrating! Everyone sung me happy birthday and I ate my yummy chocolate muffin! 

Pampering is for guys too!

 I enjoyed a relaxing massage in the zero gravity massage chair and tried out a new eye mask massager too. Lovely and relaxing! 

Chop chop chop tomatoes

 I am such a whiz in the kitchen, I am hands on and a great helper. Brooke grew lots of tomatoes at her house and bought them into our centre to cook with.  We washed, cut up and measured out 10 cups of tomato’s. We then made the syrup and let it simmer for 2 hours. It smelt delicious. We Also cut up and froze10 cups of tomatoes to cook another time. 

Sports in the garden

 I enjoyed playing some sports in the Wilrose garden. 

Indoor bowling

 I enjoyed playing indoor bowls with my friends. I won some games so I was pretty happy! 

Friendship day

 I enjoyed giving my friends a challenge at some different games on friendship day. 

Pétanque at the park

 I had an awesome time playing pétanque at the park with my friends. We had some fun on the playground afterwards.

Woohoo I’m back!

 After a good Christmas break I am back at Arohanui! Woohoo! 

Camp Aongatete

 I had a great time away at Aongatete camp for 2 nights with my friends. We learnt lots about the animals in the forrest and saw some pest traps. I was the first to go across the river to the water hole, when a very friendly eel came up to me and tickled my leg! See you in 2021!
